Committee Responsibilities
1. Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, this committee is responsible for the affairs of the Association involving various state legislative bodies.
Committee Duties
1. Maintain contact with various state legislative bodies to keep informed of actions that might affect member companies of the Association. Assemble and disseminate data of interest to member companies.
2. Study proposed legislation to determine possible effect on member companies. After consultation with member companies and approval of the Board of Trustees, confer with state legislators to emphasize weaknesses of certain bills that affect members.
3. Develop and stimulate a political awareness among member companies to keep them informed of legislative activities that could have a direct effect on member companies.
4. Develop and maintain effective communication with appropriate Association personnel to coordinate efforts dealing with legislative matters that affect Association members.
