OGA Scholarship Application

  • WE WILL NOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS WITHOUT THESE DOCUMENTS.
    • Please provide a copy of your transcripts. Ensure that no Social Security numbers are included.
    • Include two letters of recommendation from a teacher, employer or other mentor figure (not a family member).
    • An essay of no less than 250 words and no more than 500 words on one of the topics below. In your essay, please tell us about yourself, explain your understanding of natural gas, and clearly describe why it motivates you to pursue a career in the natural gas industry.
      • What do you already know about natural gas, and why does this knowledge make you want to pursue a career in the natural gas industry?
      • Provide an example of a product you have researched—especially one you did not previously realize was connected to natural gas in its production. Explain how natural gas is involved and why learning this has influenced your desire to pursue a career in the natural gas industry.
      • What role do you believe natural gas plays in America’s pursuit of energy independence, and why does this role motivate you to pursue a career in the natural gas industry?
