OHIO Shale Policy & Technology Symposium

April 4, 2018 - April 5, 2018

Register today for the OHIO Shale Policy & Technology Symposium 2018!

Ohio University’s Russ College of Engineering and Technology, Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, and College of Arts & Sciences are hosting the OHIO Shale Policy & Technology Symposium on April 4-5, 2018. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Ohio University Dublin Integrated Education Center in Dublin, Ohio.

The 2018 Symposium builds off of an inaugural event last year in Athens, Ohio. The focus of these events, as well as our multidisciplinary research work at Ohio University, is to identify ways in which regional communities and businesses can attract, develop, and retain the benefits derived from shale development activity using innovative policies, partnerships and technologies. If you are interested in building regional capacity in Ohio’s energy future, register today!

This year’s Symposium is organized into two distinct days:

  • Optional pre-trip, Wed., April 4: Round-trip transportation will be provided for our attendees from Dublin to tour our energy research labs in Athens, Ohio.
  • Full day symposium, Thurs., April 5: Experts from around the state will join our researchers on a dual-track agenda highlighting policy and technology developments in shale, as well as plenary sessions on topics such as managing risk, the impacts of global markets on Ohio’s build out, and an update on the ethane cracker in Ohio.
  • Networking breaks and catered meals provided.

Join us this April to be part of the ongoing discussion about the region’s energy future. More information can be found at https://www.ohio.edu/engineering/shale18/. Register today to save your spot!
