Committee Description:
The Technology Committee of the Ohio Gas Association (OGA) serves as a collaborative
platform for industry professionals to explore, evaluate, and promote technological
advancements within the natural gas sector. The committee is dedicated to fostering innovation that enhances the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of natural gas operations across Ohio.
Key Objectives:
1. Innovation and Exploration:
The committee focuses on identifying and evaluating emerging technologies that have
the potential to revolutionize the natural gas industry. This includes advancements in
pipeline monitoring, automation, cybersecurity, data analytics, and more.
2. Best Practices and Implementation:
Members share insights and experiences related to the successful implementation of
new technologies. The committee aims to establish best practices and guidelines that
can be adopted industry-wide to improve operational efficiency and safety.
3. GIS and Asset Management Systems:
A significant area of focus is the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
and asset management systems. The committee explores how these tools can be
